What is FxDialogue?

FxDialogue has been created to offer an application – MeXcel Trader  - that allows for the export of live indicators from Meta Trader to Excel.  It also allows the user to manage positions and orders and manipulate vital trading data from Excel . The main strengths of MeXcel Trader is that it provides integration with Meta Trader  and lends itself to customization.  


Is MeXcel Trader useful?

MeXcel Trader allows you to access live indicator values in Excel. Lets assume that you would like to be alert when RSI falls below 30 on a Daily EURUSD chart at the same time when the price is above a Moving Exponential Average of 26 on a Weekly EURUSD chart while Stochastic is below 20 on the 4 Hours chart. Programming these parameters into Meta Trader   will take some good knowledge of MQL. In Excel however you can use basic techniques to achieve the same result in minutes.

By using functions unique to MeXcel Trader you will be able to open positions or send market orders directly to Meta Trader  once the conditions are met.  This in effect turns your Excel into an Expert Advisor just by using simple and familiar techniques.   

Finally all positions you take using MeXcel Trader or Meta Trader are stored into a separate worksheet so at the end of the day, week or month you can refer to them and analyze your trade activities and the circumstances under which they were taken.

 

Is there anything else I should know about MeXcel Trader?

Yes.  MeXcel Trader is not intended to substitute your Meta Trader platform, but rather enhance and provide supplementary features to what is already a great trading platform. MeXcel Trader is not suited for scalping trading strategies and in general it should not be used to execute or close positions during fast moving markets.  The application is also not capable of dealing with broker’s re-quotes.
